Record Description : The Chief of the Division of Wildlife annually establishes an Ohio wetlands habitat stamp design contest to select a design to appear as the wetlands habitat stamp issued by the Division of Wildlife to be purchased by waterfowl hunters as well as non-hunters and stamp collectors. Funds from the sale of wetlands habitat stamps are paid into the wetlands habitat fund. Wildlife conservation stamps are printed and issued by the Division of Wildlife to allow the purchaser to contribute to the management, protection, and the perpetuation of the wildlife resources of the state. Unused stamps and serial number sheets are destroyed for accounting purposes and to insure collectability of the stamps.
