Record Description : In accordance with section 4507.08 of the Ohio Revised Code, if an individual (first time applicant or new driver) applies for an Ohio drivers license, a computer check is performed thru the Problem Driver Pointer System to verify the status of the persons driving record. If the person is suspended in the other state, Ohio will establish a case and notify the driver he/she has thirty (30) days to comply with the requirements in the other state. He/she must either present a clearance letter or the Problem Driver Pointer System must be clear. NOTE: This law went into effect August 1986 under 4507.08 (D) of the Ohio Revised Code.
