Record Description : When an employee is issued a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), there are new Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act rules which affect drivers. Under Section 1.2 "Other Safety Act Rules" of the Ohio Commercial Driver Handbook, an employee must notify their employer within 30 days of conviction for any traffic violation. A memorandum, with an attached copy of the traffic ticket, is to be submitted to HRM to inform them of such citation. It is placed into an employees personnel file.
