Record Description : In accordance with section 4510.032 of the ORC High school Drop Out Suspensions are set up when the superintendent of a school district forwards BMV form 2840 to our office. The student is subject to suspension for the following reasons: The student is a child of compulsory age and has withdrawn from school and is not enrolled in and attending an approved program to obtain a diploma or its equivalent. The student has been absent without legitimate excuse for more than 10 consecutive school days or at least 15 total school days. The student is suspended or expelled from school for the use or possession of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or alcohol and a drug of abuse. The student is knowingly conveying, or attempting to convey, a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance, knowingly possessing a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance on school premises.
