Record Description : Rule, policy and program development files for the LTC Insurance Partnership program which is jointly administered by the Ohio Department of Insurance and Ohio Department of Medicaid. The program allows persons who purchase qualified long term care insurance policies from which claims are paid for long term care to be entitled to special resource exemptions used when the policy holders apply for Medicaid. The policy holders are allowed to keep resources up to the amount of claims the LTC insurance policy paid. Special estate recovery provisions also apply. The program was mandated by Ohio Law and records may include, policy drafts, amendments, published rules, policy development documentation, proposed funding and grant applications, documented changes to the program, Period program evaluations required by CMS, and all other monitoring reports and related correspondence.
