Record Description : The settled claim file contains information pertaining to a claimant’s claim for workers’ compensation benefits, such as, but not limited to: settlement agreement, medical records, requests for treatment, requests for payment of compensation, compensation payment records, and orders issued by BWC or the Industrial Commission. A settled claim can be any type of workers’ compensation claim in which the parties have entered into a binding agreement to settle any and all remaining amounts to be paid in a workers’ compensation claim. Settlement brings the workers’ compensation claim to an end.
