Record Description :  This retention schedule consists of, but is not limited to, course renewal applications, course materials or books in paper or electronic form, and correspondence filed with the Division where course providers are requesting approval from the Division to offer certain courses for education purposes in satisfaction of license law requirements. This retention schedule also includes any commission or board approvals or denials, documents submitted to the commission or board for their review or any related correspondence. Course materials may be copyrighted and reproduction may not be authorized pursuant to 17 USC Section 102(a) and course materials may contain proprietary information that is confidential for the education provider.

Paper records may be imaged and indexed to a machine readable format. Upon confirmation that the paper copy was imaged and indexed properly, then paper record shall be destroyed. Any paper records that can not be imaged and indexed to a machine readable format shall be maintained on-site for three years from the date of approval, denial by the Division or the expiration of appeals, whichever is later.
