Record Description : The Synar program is a federally funded tobacco compliance program. Confidential informants (CIs), who are under the age of 21, are sent into stores to try to purchase tobacco products. If products are sold to the CI, the seller is cited for selling tobacco products to a person under age 21. Synar program files (compliance checks) include: CI Statement (INV0045), CI Payment Ledger (INV0029), Evidence Custody Document (INV0011), Arrest Report (INV8025), Memo Request for Compliance Check, and Cost Sheet (INV0063).
