Record Description : A Public Employer (PE) unable to comply with an adopted or proposed Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP) standard may apply for a temporary variance of the standard by providing a justification as to why they are unable to comply and specify what, if any, hardship they will incur in complying with the PERRP standard. The application must include a statement of the steps the PE will take or has taken to comply with Ohio PERRP standards.

Remain on file until application has been fulfilled and any extensions have been exhausted. The administrator may renew an order issued up to two times provided that the requirements of the approved variance application are met and the public employer files an application for renewal with the administrator at least ninety days prior to the expiration date of the order, then destroy.	In accordance with O.R.C. 4167.09, the administrator may modify or revoke the order upon application of the public employer, public employee, or public employee representative, or upon the administrator's own motion in the manner prescribed for the issuance of an order under this division at any time during six months after the date of issuance of the order.
