Record Description : Private entities required to pledge securities to an agency may elect to pledge a certificate of deposit. As the CD approaches maturity, this form is sent to the financial institution, which is instructed to provide confirmation of the deposit and whether or not the CD was renewed, and the terms on which the CD was renewed.
