Save on the OCC Z-drive in a folder with restricted access. Transfer to and maintain on any system that replaces the OCC Z-drive. Maintain permanently in a machine readable form. The information contained in case files supports the litigation and/or the settlement positions of the OCC. Most of the cases are company-specific and information from previous cases is a valuable resource to OCC for future casework etc. Electronic Permanent
Retain paper documents in a locked storage area within OCC with restricted access. Scan and store the documents on the OCC Z-drive in a folder with restricted access. After the paper document is scanned, it can be disposed of once it is no longer of administrative value. Documents are shreded or disposed of in accordance with the applicable protectie order, agreement or other protocol. It is only necessary to maintain the paper copy until it is no longer of administrative value since the paper copy is scanned and stored on the OCC Z-drive in a folder with restricted access.
