Record Description :  The Medical Payment Dispute Settlements Attorney Files contains attorney work product in representing the Special Investigation Department in negotiation of a Provider Overpayment Settlement. Included in the files are a copy of the Special Investigation Units’ Report of Investigation, Fraud Management System (FMS) notes, spreadsheets of the provider overpayment, medical reviews, copies of claim file information and a copy of the signed negotiated Settlement Agreement, copies of any checks received from providers for overpayment reimbursement by the Legal Division that were subsequently given to BWC Cash Control Unit for processing. These files were originally in preparation for a Conference before the Medical Payment Dispute Committee, but were settled before being heard by the Committee.
