Record Description : Under section 4510.03 of the Ohio Revised code, traffic tickets are received from courts of record and/or mayors court resulting from any violation of law or ordinance regulating the operation of motor vehicles on the street and highways. The ticket contains the violators name and address, license number, date, drivers license number, conviction or bond forfeiture, etc. In accordance with all provisions of section 4510.03 division (C), points shall be totalled within a two year period from date of first conviction.

Prior to January 1989, all minor convictions (2 and 4 point violations) were retained for five (5) years from date of conviction or bond forfeiture and then destroyed. Effective January 1989, any minor convictions (2 and 4 point violations) generated on or after this date will be on microfilm. The original documents are retained until microfilmed and the processed film proofread and verified or until the records are scanned. The hard copy records are then destroyed.	Paper	Shred
