Record Description :  The Incomplete Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) files are medical treatment dispute packets received from Managed Care Organizations (MCO) that cannot be processed for some reason (e.g. missing ADR Information Guide, missing a peer to peer file review or independent medical examination report, missing an MCO or BWC appeal, not an appropriate peer to peer review conducted, appropriate C-9 or treatment request, initial C-9 review, initial MCO Decision, MCO ADR Summary Report).

The machine readable information will be reviewed every 3 years to ensure that the files can still be accessed. Retain the original Portable Document Format (PDF) of The Incomplete ADR Files on the J drive for 17 years (Incomplete ADR Files are part of a 2 year contract that can be litigated up to 15 years after the contract expires), and then destroy. Ohio Revised Code 2305.06 States that an action upon a specialty or an agreement, contract, or promise in writing shall be brought within fifteen years after the cause thereof accrued. Records of the Incomplete ADR Files were received prior to the MCO’s sending in the ADR Files electronically are maintained at a record storage facility.
