Record Description : Checks are written as payment for services rendered by the BMV. If these checks are returned from the bank (for various reasons), the Tax Distribution Section is notified. A letter is sent to the customer requesting payment. If payment is not received within 45 days, the claim is forwarded to the office of the Attorney General for collection assistance.
