Record Description : Field notes contain documentation of all inspection activity, conversations, and observations. Field notes include the following general information:
inspector''s name; date and time of inspection; name of company (including EPA I.D. number); and name of company representative(s) accompanying the inspector during the
inspection. Typically, they will also include a description of the company''s activities; actual violations discovered; areas of potential violations; a record of actual or potential future sampling points; photograph points; a list of documents requested and/or taken from the company; an identification of the documents reviewed during the inspection; weather conditions on the day of the inspection; a note that an exit interview was conducted detailing findings and information about what the comapny needs to do to abate any violations; an explanation why sampling was not conducted if it was clearly warranted; an identification of the areas visited during the facility walk-through; and pertinent comments from company representatives.
