Retain in office for 5 calendar years. Transfer to storage at the State Records Center for 5 calendar years. Scan to electronic, readable media (CD-ROM) after 5 years in storage. Destroy paper records after scanning.	Facilities are often reinspected & followed up on several years after initial inspection. Cleanup can last up to 10 years at a PCB site. Civil actions taken against facili- ties may require previous inspec- tion reports for documentation. Old inspection reports may also be needed to assess blame for facilit- ies fighting over responsibility for contamination of a site.	Paper	Shred
